About SpinFairly

SpinFairly is a small, independent project that makes simple tools for choosing at random, for classrooms, online giveaways and groups of friends.

Why we built it

Teachers pick students all day. People running giveaways need a winner their followers will trust. Friends need someone to decide where to eat. A wheel you can watch spin is the quickest way to make those choices feel fair, but many of the tools out there are slow on phones, buried in pop-ups, or quietly depend on weak randomness.

We wanted tools that open instantly, work well on a phone and on a projector, and give results you can explain to anyone.

What we stand for

• Fair results. Every tool uses the browser’s cryptographic random generator. The outcome is decided first, and the animation is only there to show it. We test the odds automatically every time the site is updated.
• Your data stays with you. No accounts, no uploads. Lists are processed on your device and saved only in your browser if you ask.
• Fast and accessible. Pages are light, work with a keyboard and screen readers, respect reduced-motion settings, and keep working offline once loaded.
• Available in English and Spanish, each written for the people who read it.

How the site is funded

SpinFairly is free to use and is supported by advertising from Google AdSense. We place ads away from buttons and results so they never get in the way of the tools.
