    How to use it

    1. Enter the minimum and maximum. Both numbers can come up, and negative numbers work too.
    2. Press Generate, tap the result box or press Space.
    3. Need several numbers? Set How many numbers, and tick No repeats if each number may appear only once (for raffle tickets or lottery-style picks).
    4. Use the quick ranges for common cases like 1–6, 1–100 or 6 of 1–49, and the copy button to paste the results anywhere.

    A random number for anything

Sometimes you just need a number nobody chose: who goes first, which question to answer, which page to read, what number to bet on in a friendly game, or which of 30 raffle tickets wins. A random number generator gives you that in a second, and because nobody picked it, nobody can argue with it.

This one works for single numbers and for sets. Ask for one number between 1 and 100, or for 20 different numbers between 1 and 500. Sort them if you like, and copy them with one tap.

    • Classroom. Call on student number 17, choose a random page of the textbook, or build quick math drills with random numbers in a range.
    • Raffles with tickets. If your tickets are numbered, set the range to match them and turn on “No repeats” so no ticket can win twice.
    • Games. Replace a lost die with the 1–6 preset, decide the turn order, or pick a random number for a guessing game.
    • Sampling and testing. Pick random rows from a spreadsheet to review, random IDs to audit, or random test values.
    • Lottery-style picks. The “6 of 1–49” preset draws six different numbers and sorts them, like a classic lottery ticket. It’s just for fun: no generator can predict or improve lottery odds.

    How the numbers are generated

Every number comes from your browser’s cryptographically secure random generator, crypto.getRandomValues, instead of the weaker Math.random() that many sites use. To turn that raw randomness into a number in your range, the page uses rejection sampling: any raw value that would make some numbers slightly more likely than others is thrown away and drawn again. The result is a perfectly even chance for every number in the range.

For sets without repeats, the page either shuffles the whole range (when you ask for most of it) or draws numbers one at a time and skips any it has already used (when the range is big). Both methods give every possible combination the same probability.

The short “tómbola” animation is only for show. The numbers are decided the moment you press Generate, and the flickering digits are just decoration while they appear.

    Good to know

    • Everything runs in your browser, so it keeps working if your connection drops after the page loads.
    • Your range and options are remembered on this device for next time.
    • Press Enter in any of the boxes to generate again without reaching for the mouse.

    Frequently asked questions

    Are the numbers really random?

Yes. They come from your browser’s cryptographic random number generator (crypto.getRandomValues), which is designed to be unpredictable. The page also avoids “modulo bias”, a subtle flaw in simple generators that makes small numbers slightly more likely. We check every range with automated tests: over 100,000 draws from 1 to 10, each number comes up between 9% and 11% of the time.

Are the minimum and maximum included?

Yes. A range of 1 to 10 can give 1, 10 or anything in between, and every value has the same chance.

    What does “No repeats” do?

It makes every number in a set different, like drawing numbered balls from a bag without putting them back. You can’t ask for more numbers than the range contains: 8 unique numbers from 1 to 5 is impossible, and the page will tell you.

How can I use it for a raffle with numbered tickets?

Set the minimum and maximum to your first and last ticket numbers and generate one number per prize, with “No repeats” turned on. The previous results list keeps a record of the session. For raffles by name, the giveaway picker also removes duplicate entries and records the date and time.

    What are the limits?

Numbers can go from −1,000,000,000 to 1,000,000,000 and you can generate up to 1,000 numbers at once. Only whole numbers are supported.
